I woke up this morning and jumped out of bed. Ouch! Caused a bunch of creaking sounds Tonight I do my first IDPA tournament with the RGV Shooters Association at American Firing Range here in Brownsville.
Sunday I paraded around all day with my unloaded 9mm, drawing my gun from my holster and hitting dead on (or at least I imagined it) all the lamps, door knobs, furniture, and other bad-guy household items I could find. I am still nervous. But it is an exciting nervous, full of anticipation.
Doing new things that challenge your skill and knowledge just makes your entire day so much more fun and exciting, even work seems cheerier.
